Media Lario Technologies is able to meet this challenge thanks to its capabilities of manufacturing ultra-smooth reflective surfaces with extremely high shape accuracy.
The Company’s applications for space telescopes are based on a multi-shell double-reflection grazing incidence design with optimized reflective coatings and the possibility of a multi-layer deposition to enable reflection at highest energy levels of up to 70-100 KeV.
Media Lario Technologies obtains its reflective optics from highly accurate electro-deposited replications of a previously manufactured high-precision master. The form of the master itself is designed as the negative shape of the desired component. The ultra-smooth surface and accurate shape of the master is achieved by employing advanced grinding and polishing techniques. Media Lario Technologies’ high-accuracy replication process allows the reproduction of a series of identical shells from the master surface, ensuring the fulfillment of highest demands on technical specifications and offering a cost effective approach to high-volume production.
Thanks to the Company’s achievement of producing X-ray reflective systems with a surface micro-roughness down to 3-4 A, Media Lario Technologies’ customers today are able to deliver scientific missions and programs in order to discover unknown scientific evidences of the universe.
